About

We live in a world where we attempt to span the liminal space between reality and our digital representation on the internet. When we forget about one world or the other, our identity can be compromised by technology. This provides a psychological quandary that we as a culture are just getting accustomed to.

My work is a narrative of life and death, of addiction and technological isolation. I utilize historical metaphors to frame these issues and capture them in time. So how can we get our identities back? Perhaps I can provide a new context to something that seems completely illogical or a sense of humor to what seems like such a dark subject.

Technique

I utilize traditional materials in the construction of my paintings, using transparent layers of oil, similar to the methods used by painters like Vermeer and Rembrandt. All of my materials are archival quality and will be around (for better or worse) for hundreds of years after I'm dead.
